Fairchild Tropical Garden
If you're looking to spend the day in a beautiful garden in Miami-Dade, go visit the Fairchild Tropical garden.
There you will find all the tropical and native plants you can imagine but also a museum, a laboratory, a learning center and a conservation research facility. The butterfly house is also incredible, it's like being surrounded with thousands of gorgeous butterflies borned at the facility and with no fear of the human, beautiful experience.
The garden is huge and you can spend the day there learning about all the different species of banana trees, palm trees, orchids, bamboos and even baobab!
Each year the garden is also home to different festivals (orchid festival, mango festival, chocolate festival etc...) and also gives the opportunity to artists to show some of their masterpieces nestled within Fairchild's 83 acres.
Right now you can discover Chihuly's spectacular and majestic glass sculptures all around the garden.
My favorite piece by Chihuly, in total harmony with the vegetation.
