Miami Film Festival 2015
Each year in March, Miami welcomes the Miami Film Festival, since 1983.
It's a great opportunity to discover movies/documentaries that are not yet distributed and to see something else than the commercial blockbusters you can watch at the big chain movie theaters.
The ambiance is great during the showing of a movie at a Movie Festival because you will be surrounded by people who have a real interest in the movie they come to watch. You also have the chance to listen to the cast of the movie/producers/directors before the movie starts and listen to them introduce their movie.
First film we went to see: Kurt Cobain- Montage of Heck (O CInema - Miami beach). A real life documentary on the life of Kurt Cobain through videos of his family friends, old tapes that they could find. What a life I should say....A realy genius that got burnt by his talent.
Second film: Yves Saint Laurent (O Cinema - Miami Beach). A movie on the life of Yves Saint Laurent. I quite did not like the way the actors acted but I learned a lot about the personality of Yves Saint Laurent who, as Kurt Cobain, was a genius in his domain and lost himself with the succes he got exposed to.
